Ryan Marshall Dunlap is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Marshall Conflict Strategies, LLC. With more than 18 years of combined law enforcement and security management experience, he has extensive experience in leading conflict and crisis response across various industries, including local government, nonprofit, educational institutions, and healthcare. 


While serving as a SWAT Hostage Negotiator, Crisis Intervention Officer and Special Victims Unit Detective, he led thousands of tense interviews, interrogations, negotiations, deescalations, and interventions. After transitioning out of public service, he continued to leverage his communication expertise by helping organizations develop emergency response plans, crisis response programs, and conflict communication protocols.

Considered an expert in the field, Ryan is an avid public speaker who has been tapped as an expert news contributor and has been featured on various webinars and podcasts as a guest speaker. He is also an accomplished coach and trainer. Having served as a Certified State Instructor and Field Training Officer, he has developed and led dozens of training courses for business leaders, law enforcement professionals, and private organizations. 


Outside of consulting, Ryan serves on the Georgia Sexual Assault Response Team State Expert Committee and volunteers as a law enforcement chaplain for the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office. He is the recipient of numerous awards, ribbons, and medals which include the 2012 Gwinnett County Chamber of Commerce Life Saving Award, a 2010 Hampton Police Division Life Saving Award, a Meritorious Service Award, a Good Conduct Ribbon, and countless commendations.
